(New York, NY) Celebrity photographer Mike Ruiz and Louie’s Legacy Animal Rescue have collaborated to create “Hunks and Hounds,” a 2015 calendar which pairs twelve rescue dogs from Louie’s Legacy with a sizzling hot male model, all in the name of supporting the rescue’s outstanding work. See what the Huffington Post had to say here.
Louie’s Legacy, incorporated in 2009, saved more than 1,100 pets in 2013 from high kill shelters or other unsavory situations. Known for taking animals with medical needs, senior pets and difficult-to-pace breeds in addition to young, highly adoptable animals, the rescue spends hundreds of thousands of dollars bringing each pet to health, happiness and safety. Every pet is spayed or neutered, carefully brought up to veterinary standards and microchipped prior to placement in a meticulously screened forever home.
In addition to the dogs, the project includes top fitness models in the business who also volunteered their time to help this amazing cause. Mike Ruiz, a world-renowned photographer, creative director and director is also something else very important—an animal lover of epic proportions. Whether it’s Kim Kardashian, Betty White, Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry or Prince, Mike has seen and shot them all. His clients include L’Oreal, Garnier, Jafra and Alfa Parf. His work has appeared in Conde Nast Traveller, Elle, Interview, Paper, Vanity Fair and other publications. His work and biography can be seen at www.mikeruiz.com.
Calendars are $19.99 plus shipping and can be pre-ordered online at www.louielegacy.org/calendar/. All proceeds benefit Louie’s Legacy. The calendar release party will take place on November 21, 2014 at Louie’s Legacy’s Third Annual Blue Gala at Nicotra’s Ballroom in Staten Island, NY.
